Not so much going on....
Or two.
Yeah, don't mind the runny nose.
So you can see Cindy is doing well. We all agreed today we liked her dream. You can come back anytime. Like tomorrow, for example. Since I have no pictures to share, let me just give you a rundown of recent events:
- Poor Martha is on service and has picked up her 12,000th new patient.
- Jenn and Jenny went to Mississippi for a football game this past weekend. Colts won.
- Jon is surviving his first stint on service. And as a hematologist attending to boot. Still no sleeping bag in his office as far as I know, though.
- I am loving loving loving three days of clinic every week. I mean the love is palpable, man!
- Lizzie's most adorable identical twin nieces turned a year old this past weekend. They came to clinic to visit yesterday and are just sooooo pretty.
- Liz will go part-time starting next week. Everyone else is shoreing up to prepare to boss Bob around even more than usual.
- The clinic nurses have officially decided that this year's halloween theme for clinic is to be "Peter Pan". There was some talk of Charles being Peter Pan, but he is going to fight it.
- There have been no - I repeat, NO - George Michael sightings. No gossip either. I am officially downgrading our GM alert status to level green. Sigh.
In other news, let's see if we can't combine both blogs into one. For all two people besides us who actually read the blog once in a while, stay tuned.
As usual - we miss you, Doug. It's nice to see your new digs. We can always dream of a waiting room with a door.
Hope Bonnie and the kids are well, too!

Gail's birthday and random thoughts on George Michael...

Don't laugh. I KNOW you have missed my talking about George.
My sources tell me he is back in Dallas. Therefore, I am wearing my pager all the time and everyone is on GM alert level orange - and they had BETTER page me if he is sighted. I was realizing the other day I have pretty much lost track of him since last November and coming home with the baby. No better time to get back in the swing of things.
It was Gail's birthday today. Roxana made a chocolate cake, and Liz and I brought strawberry shortcake. Mmmmmmmm. Gail got a nice text message from her daughter wishing her a happy b-day, so not only is it the easiest way to break up with someone, but is good for birthday greetings, too. Corianna told us the text-message-firing was becoming popular as well.
Cindy has a new eHarmony prospect. A coffee dude. If she would ever post to the blog, she would tell you all about him. She does have an excuse, though - her parents were in town this weekend. We got together for dinner on Saturday - me, Jenny, Martha, Christina (the new fellow from Yale), and Charles. We played "Cranium" and "Guesstures" - after some adult beverages - and let's just say I have new insight as to where Cindy gets some aspects of her personality now!!
Anyway, it was really fun. And entertaining. Here are some Wednesday clinic photos for your enjoyment.

Cindy and I sure do miss you. After a particularly frustrating forty-five minutes of printer trouble today, I was ready to get on a plane, without any gels or liquids, and come join you in Asheville, where I am sure computer problems are nonexistent. Sigh. Hope you are showing them what's what up there in NC!!

Cindy is back
Cindy wanted to show everyone that she stopped biting her nails while she was in India.
We saved you a brownie, of course.
Cindy is so excited to see everyone that there were hugs all around. Tamra didn't mind nearly as much as some other people (you'll see)....
We are very proud of Jon, the newest addition to Wednesday clinic....
...but sometimes the other hematologists are around, too.
Jenny didn't want you to miss out on any IRB fun.
Gail is doing well. Cindy got this candid of her on the phone....
... then Gail told her to take another one where she looked more official.
There are reminders of you everywhere around clinic. I made sure they didn't throw away your magnet, either.
Oh, and we think that the pants in question were yours... someone retrieved them and you'll get them in a care package, eventually.
Jenn is not too happy about Cindy and Lizzie getting in her personal space...
Janice stopped by to say hello and she misses you.
Now that the "dick-dick" (yes, keeping in with the animal name trend, we have assigned the chef a name now... and it is actually an animal according to Cindy and Jenny - but I am not sure if I am spelling it right) is seemingly out of the picture, Cindy is back on E-harmony. We'll let you know about all the good prospects, the "diamonds in the sand" and whatnot.
Doug, Jon has moved into your old office and Bonita wanted me to make sure I told you about how clean it was, so:
An action shot of Jon in his new digs.
Well, we really do miss you a ton. Glad to see things are going well and your new job is turning out nice. They are lucky to have you there. MISS YOU!
